December 27-29th, 2016 Camp Application


Arizona Pole Vault Academy is proud to offer a small group (15 or less) camp format instructed by 1997 World Championships Bronze Medalist, Dean Starkey. Along with other excellent instructors, this camp will immerse the vaulters in a personalized approach to learning every aspect of what it takes to be the best pole-vaulter you can be.

Accommodations: Athletes will be living on-site at the Starkey Ranch. Our sleeping arrangements consist of several guest rooms, air mattresses, sleeping bags and sofa.  All meals will be provided while staying as our guest.

Camp Cost and Details

3 Day (2) Night: December 27-29th.  Camp session will be starting at 9am on the 27th and ending at 4pm on the 29th.

Cost $595 - Includes camp and all accommodations.

Refunds: Once camp has started we regret that we cannot issue refunds due to injury, illness or dismissal for disciplinary reasons. Any cancelations before December 1st will be able to receive a full refund.  After December 1st you can request a refund minus a late cancelation fee of $100.

Deadline: ASAP. As soon as we have 15 committed vaulters everyone following that will be put on the waiting list.

Eligibility: All vaulter’s, both male and female, ages 14 and up.

Out of town vaulters: Please arrange your transportation to and from the airport using Super Shuttle (http://www.supershuttle.com)

Check In
: If arriving from out of town you may fly in the day before if needed due to flight considerations, otherwise be here at 9:30am to get checked in.

Departure: Camp ends 3pm on the 29th.  Please arrange your transportation accordingly.  If you are flying you can make arrangements to stay an extra night to accommodate flight schedules if needed.

Registration: Participation in the camp is available on a first come, first serve basis. Limit 15 vaulters.

What To Bring
Running shoes, track spikes, workout cloths, sweat pants and shirt, swim suit, Warm and cold weather casual clothing.

We have an extensive collection of poles.  You are welcome to bring your own but you do not need to as you can borrow our poles for no additional charge. You can view our pole inventory on our website.

AZPVA Philosophy
We take great pride in offering a wide variety of challenging vault related activities in a resort/park/ranch setting. We stress progressive step-by-step skill development, with a safety first motto. Come prepared to make huge gains in your vaulting, make new friends, and try new stuff. Camaraderie, self respect and good clean fun are all important aspects of our system.
